Wendy & Krista’s Christmas Collaboration
A tradition we love…
For three years now Krista and I have been getting together over Instagram to spread some Christmas cheer! We both love the joy of this season! We truly find so much happiness in celebrating our Savior, loving on our family through deep tradition, and passing it all on to YOU!
But first, do you know our backstory?
Here is the short version:
When Krista’s son and my daughter were teenagers, they both basked in the goodness of the same summer camp! Their deep friendship led to the two of us mamas finding a beautiful connection! Seriously! Only God could orchestrate such plans. Fast forward a few years later and those same happy campers are husband and wife, which makes two super-stoked “Besties in Law!”
So here we are, and you’re all caught up!
This year while our husbands went fishing, we played “Christmas Collab” at The Peaceful Homestead, and cranked out a week’s worth of content for YOU! Let me tell you…we had ourselves a BALL doing it! I can’t count the times we laughed until we cried. In fact, make sure you watch until the end of our Reels! Most of them contain BLOOPERS!
Find friends who will “rough-it” with you when the going gets tough!
Let me speak to the loyalty of the Gilberts. We had the date of our weekend on the calendar when disaster struck our area. Unfortunately, a main pipeline was accidentally hit leaving all of the surrounding towns for MILES with no gas service. This meant we could not offer them hot water or heat, and we had limited use of our appliances. When we called to let them know about the situation they said, “Oh, we’re COMING!” What dear and loyal people! Sure, I had to go to a plan B with the menu, and we didn’t sit around the cozy fire like I had envisioned. Nonetheless we were together, and we stayed completely comfortable! (Just ask Krista how she slept! Wink Wink!) What an example of loving well!
